Peegue's Puzzle Page

It was a hard decision, but Peegue has decided to retire as mayor of Wondertown! (But don’t worry, Peegue will continue to work on puzzles for you.)

There’s a problem though. Peegue has to fill out and hand in all required forms. Easier said than done! The hall of bureaucrats (stinkercrats?) has six sections: the “admissions” clerk, the “business” clerk, the “changeover” clerk, the “double-check” clerk, the “employment” clerk, and the “final approvals” clerk.

Peegue walks into this hall with no forms and starts at the admissions clerk.

  • Each time Peegue visits the admissions clerk, Peegue will receive two new blue forms and one new red form. Peegue will then be asked to go to either the “business” clerk of the “changeover” clerk.
  • Each time Peegue visits the “business” clerk, Peegue will receive three new blue forms. From here, Peegue can go to the “admissions”, “business”, or “changeover” clerk.
  • Each time Peegue visits the “changeover” clerk, Peegue has to hand in one blue form and one red form. Peegue can continue to either the "business", “double-check”, “employment”, or “final approvals” clerk.
  • Each time Peegue visits the “double-check” clerk, Peegue has to hand in two blue forms and will receive one red form. From here, Peegue can visit either the “changeover” or the “employment” clerk.
  • Each time Peegue visits the “employment” clerk, Peegue must hand in two red forms, will receive one blue form, and must proceed to the “final approvals” clerk.
  • At the “final approvals” clerk, Peegue must hand in two blue forms. If Peegue has no forms left now, Peegue can exit and enjoy retirement! If Peegue has forms left, Peegue must return to either the “business” or “changeover” clerk.
Starting at the admissions clerk, can you guide Peegue through this bureaucratic maze and to retirement? Peegue must always have the minimum number of required forms for each clerk. For example, Peegue could not visit the “double check” clerk with only one blue form in hand. Peegue also must visit every clerk at least once!

If you think you have the answer (or you -gulp!- give up), you can send Peegue an e-mail at peegue@midnightsynergy.com. You will receive an automated reply with the link to the solutions. (Make sure that you add Peegue to your address-book if you use a spamfilter, so that the reply doesn't land in your junk folder).
